Why is CAMS needed? Shouldn’t local governments take care of our initiatives?

Here’s the crux of the matter: while local governments manage a wide range of responsibilities, they can, at times, lack a focused, unified group specifically dedicated to a niche area, such as enhancing Main Street. Enter CAMS.

CAMS bridges the gap between the broad scope of governmental duties and the specific needs of Main Street businesses and property owners. It’s not about replicating what the local government does, but complementing it. Think of CAMS as the specialist team, zooming in where focus is most needed.

Our work so far

CAMS is driven by a singular mission: to transform Main Street into not just a location, but a destination. We envision a bustling, beautiful, and business-friendly downtown that serves as the community’s gathering place and economic hub. Our efforts are focused on creating a pedestrian-friendly environment that encourages local shopping, dining, and leisure activities, while also preserving the historical integrity and small-town feel of Heber City.

Proud member of Main Street America

“If I may be frank, the most important thing that happens in Community Alliance for Main Street is that we get the property owners involved and then secondly the business owners.”
