Heber City Launches Historic Walking Tour with June 7 Ribbon Cutting

We are proud to partner with Heber City, the Heber Leadership Academy, and the Community Alliance for Main Street to bring a meaningful new initiative to life—one that celebrates and preserves our community’s unique heritage. Together, we invite you to experience the Heber City Historic Walking Tour, a project that honors the original settlers of the Heber Valley by highlighting the historic homes and buildings built between 1865 and 1937.

This self-guided walking tour will showcase properties that reflect the character, craftsmanship, and determination of the early pioneers who shaped our valley. Each home or building features a small, carefully designed plaque placed on the public easement, providing a brief history of the original family and their contribution to the establishment of the Heber Valley. The Heber Historic Walking Tour is more than just a collection of old homes—it is a living tribute to the people and stories that define our community’s roots. By preserving and sharing these landmarks, we not only protect our architectural legacy, but also foster a deeper appreciation of Heber’s past among residents and visitors alike.

We warmly invite you to join us in preserving and celebrating Heber City’s remarkable history.

Tour Length: One hour and a half, this walking tour includes one mile in length but up to a two and a half miles in distance.
